Brief:
I was appointed as the lead curator for the selection of curios, rugs, and artwork for the Maya House project’s videoshoot, designed by Kamat and Rozario Architecture. The residence is a concrete structure with distinctive red accents in the handrails, columns, and other architectural elements.
Task:
My responsibility was to curate a selection of objects, including curios, rugs, and artwork, that would complement the architectural design of the space and highlight the red accents. I was also tasked with painting an art piece for the video that would emphasize these red elements.
My Response:
I carefully selected a range of objects and artworks that aligned with the modern and minimalist design of the house, ensuring each piece harmonized with the concrete structure. For the video, I created a unique art piece specifically designed to highlight the red accents in the handrails, columns, and other architectural features.
Result:
The curated selection of objects, rugs, and artwork contributed to a cohesive and visually striking videoshoot. The artwork successfully highlighted the red elements of the structure, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the residence. The video received positive feedback for how well the art complemented the architectural design.
